The American sitcom "Friends" ( created by David Crane & Marta Kauffman ) aired from 1994 to 2004. Friends is considered one of the most iconic & classic sitcoms of all time.

The program has six main characters- Ross Geller, Chandler Bing, Monica Geller, Rachel Green, Joey Tribbiani and Phoebe Buffay.

They negotiate their personal and professional lives in New York City. Each character has their own unique personality and traits. There were also some mentionable side characters named Janice and Gunther. In this show, they usually hang out at a coffee place named Central Perk and at Monica's apartment.

It Has Memorable Characters :

David Schwimmer portrayed Ross Geller in this series. Paleontologist Ross Geller is smart and a little neurotic. He is renowned for his complicated love life and has a dry sense of humor. He is my most favorite character in this series.

Matthew Perry portrayed Chandler Bing. He is Ross's closest friend, works in data processing. He is awkward around women and has a sarcastic sense of humor. He also fears commitment. He is my second favorite character.

Ross's sister Monica Geller, portrayed by Courtney Cox, is a chef. She is disciplined, competitive, and needs to be in charge. She and Chandler are also romantically involved.

The character Rachel Green, portrayed by Jennifer Aniston, is a stylish woman who makes her way up the fashion ladder after beginning as a waitress. She is charming, self-assured, and occasionally selfish. Ross and Rachel were in an on & off again relationship.

Masseuse and musician Phoebe Buffay, is eccentric and free-spirited. She has a distinct perspective on
life and frequently has bizarre ideas. This character was played by Lisa Kudrow.

Joey, an aspiring actor, is well-known for his passion for eating. He has many short-term relationships throughout the series, including a brief romance with Rachel, and is a devoted friend to Chandler. This character was played by Matt LeBlanc.

Many viewers feel relatable to these characters and become obsessed with them.

Nostalgic Theme Song:

"I'll be there for you" is the theme song of this show. The American rock group The Rembrandts performed the song, which was penned by the pair of Michael Skloff and Allee Willis.

The song's iconic lyrics and lively tune perfectly express the show's underlying concept of friendship and loyalty. Fans of the show are familiar with the opening phrase, "So no one told you life was going to be this way / Your job's a joke, you're broke, your love life's DOA," which has become recognizable and nostalgic to the fans.

Why Friends is a comfort show:

Friends is renowned for its deft writing, smart one-liners, and physical humor, which can make it a fun and jovial watch.

Many viewers find the characters likable and the circumstances they run into familiar because the show centers on the lives and friendships of a group of friends in their 20s and 30s.

Moreover, Friends has a relaxing, comforting feel that s it an excellent option for unwinding after a stressful day or when you just want to relax and watch something familiar.

Since everyone has different tastes and preferences, it is hard to say that everyone should watch Friends. It may not be for everyone.
