Solo Travelling: Myths and facts

Travelling means going anywhere with a group of people. Solo travelling means going somewhere   alone. People sometimes need to spend quality time with himself/herself. So, here comes the term "Solo Travelling". 

Solo travelling makes a person more independent, more confident and most importantly it helps a person how to survive and adjust in uncommon situation and places as well. But there are some myths about solo travelling. Let's discuss about the myths and facts of solo travelling.

Is solo travelling too expensive?:

Most of us think that travelling alone costs more. Actually, it's not. Just pick up your bag and set out on a journey. Besides, you don't have to worry about others as you are on a solo trip.  As a single person, you don't have to book luxury rooms for staying. You can minimize the cost by following such things:

 1.Avoiding luxury hotels

 2.Using local transports

 3.Eating authentic foods made by the local people

It is one of the most important issues for solo travelling. But look, danger can come at any time in any place. It's such a thing which is not in our hands. So, it should not be a major issue in this case. By following proper travelling guidelines, we can go on a solo travelling without any hesitation and fear such as:

 1.Taking necessary documents on a foreign tour 

 2.taking a first aid box and other backups

 We may think, to communicate with new people, we need to know their language. But as we know English is spoken almost all over the world. So, it's not a big deal at all. People living around tourist spots know how to deal with tourists. Even there are many countries where English is not spoken. But we can communicate with them in other ways. So, language cannot be a barrier to solo travelling.


Rabindranath Tagore's famous song- "যদি তোর ডাক শুনে কেউ না আসে তবে একলা চলো রে।" indicates solo travelling  somehow! Solo travelling refreshes mind, helps us to take quick and right decision in unknown situation and makes us braver . However, to know the unknown and to embrace the ultimate thrilling we can go on solo trip .
